The second Tasting Music event of the 2008 Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival will pair Schubert's lyrical and profound String Quintet in C Major with wines from Walla Walla Vintners. Schubert composed this work only weeks before his death at the age of 31, and it stands as one of the greatest masterpieces in the chamber music repertoire. Glorious melody reigns supreme in this work known to musicians simply as "the Cello Quintet." The performance and discussion will be led by WWCMF Founder and Artistic Director, Timothy Christie. Guests are invited to sample wines from Walla Walla Vintners' collection of premium Reds, and enjoy the complimentary art forms of music and wine!
