Description: Polly's GlobalWalk Premiere Movie Screening and Fundraiser for the Mayo Clinc (Women's Cancer and Breast Cancer Diagnostic Clinc), and Susan Komen for the Cure will be Oct 22 at the Parkway Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Preceeding the 7 pm screening, at 5:30 pm there will be a Silent Auction and 'mix and mingle' reception (with refreshments and hors douvres).

Polly's GlobalWalk is the feature documentary of Polly Letofsky's 14,124 mile, 22 country, 5 year walk around the world that raised over $250,000 for Breast Cancer.

Polly Letofsky left Vail Colorado August 1, 1999, by foot, to become the first woman to walk around the world. She wanted her walk to benefit women, women's health, and be international in scope. Breast Cancer awareness became her mission. In the middle of her 5 year journey, Polly witnessed the horrors of September 11 while watching television with a Muslim family in Malaysia. She suddenly found herself discovering the world- especially America- from a unique historical perspective. Determined as ever, she quickly adjusted her strut thru an Islamic Asia, India, and a simmering Europe. Polly's effort became more than a fundraiser. It became a journey personifying the spirit of commitment and perseverance that compels one to follow the road to their wildest dreams.
